I think it's tough to find a really good HIST 119/120 instructor. Phillips class is pretty reasonable. There are only three tests. 50% of your test grade will come from 25-30 multiple choice questions and the other 50% will come from one long essay, but he tells you what the essay will be and gives you two topics to choose from. Take VERY GOOD notes and you will be okay! There's also some opportunities for extra credit. He also shows some videos.
