Additional Comments
I hated this class, It was very hard for me. I don't know why so many people like Baker, but I know I sure don't. If you like history and don't have work to do in other classes, I guess he would be a good teacher to take. All I know is I don't have the time or the patience to read 20 pages of a history book at least every other class period. He gives 5 question 5 point quizzes every other class over each chapter one chapter at a time, that he does not discuss in class at all before the quiz. His test are hard too. There are 10 identify questions (this year you had to pick 5 of the 10 to identify, but in previous years you had to identify all 10, so I don't know what he will do in following years) and an essay. There are four tests throughout the entire semester, including the final exam, which was the same as the previous three tests.
I had friends that had other teachers for the same course that came out with an A or B, and only had to read from the book like four times.
He is just a hard teacher, period. I wouldn't take him again that is for sure.
