Additional Comments |
I really liked Baker. He really knows what he's talking about and has been, and taught in so many places around the world that he has a very good perception of everything that he is teaching. His notes aren't bad at all. There will be a short quiz every week over the assigned chapter but they're not bad (make sure you write down the questions afterwards because most of the time 3-5 of them will be on your exams). Make sure you go to class and PARTICIPATE, he likes the people that seem interested in history. For sure go to the PASS sessions offered, they don't take long and they will help you narrow down what to study for each exam (which covers 3 chs). If you are willing to put forth effort and at least are interested in history somewhat you'll do fine in this class. I really enjoyed it and his lectures aren't boring!
