Additional Comments |
Dr. Abbott is an excellent teacher. This was the one history class in which I actually looked forward to attending because her lectures were so interesting. You could get by without having the textbook, for everything on the exams come from your class notes; however, I found the book was very helpful when preparing for tests. You DO need to buy the novels she requires however, as the exam essays are specifically about the novels. The tests require a lot of preparing, and A LOT of writing....luckily they are untimed. Don't be too overwhelmed about this class...if you actually attempt to get a good grade, you will. She is a very effective teacher, and I highly reccommend taking her.....just remember, History 120 will be a hard class no matter what professor you have, so go from the best!
