Professor Newton is awesome! He only teaches one class at WKU and spends the rest of his time writing stories and press for the college. Since it is his only class, he is really easy-going and devotes a lot of his energy to make sure everyone understands everything. If you are required to take this normally dull class, take Newton and you will at least enjoy the corny jokes he makes!

TAKE THIS CLASS- Mr. Newton is an awesome guy who is very understanding. He will email the class all of the notes for the class through email, so for tests, all you have to do is print out the email and study from that. I had him in a night class that never lasted over an hour. He will give as much extra credit as you will work for. While the material is boring, it is definatley an easy class and an easy grade! TAKE IT!

Mr. Newton is the best teacher I have had in a long time. He doesn't put everything into grades like some instructors do. He wants people to learn what it is like to write in real life. I can honestly say that I have learned a lot with very little effort. He is also a funny guy though he doesn't really try to be. If you want a structured class, this is not the guy to take. But if you want to learn and have a little fun....hes the man.

Mr. Newton is a really nice teacher. I had him for one of those long over 2 hour classes and he never kept us in there for more than an hour and a half. The class was pretty laid back but I still learned alot from it. I highly recomend Mr. Newton for this class.

he is very helpful. offers extra credit and if you have to turn assignments in late he will take them. he is funny, tries to entertain the class...usually get out early if its a once a week class. little homework, and sometimes emails important test info. great teacher!

Tommy Newton is a great teacher! He is willing to work around his student's schedule as far as homework, class, and reports. There are no essays just basic reporting stories that take very little time to do. The Monday Lectures are boring but they don't last that long. They end before the semester does. Newton is a really considerate and is always willing to help with assignments.

This is one of my favorite teachers at Western so far. Mr. Newton is an extremely nice guy and does a good job at teaching Journalism. He gives a lot of extra credit and helped us a lot on class assignments we needed to turn in. I highly recomend him. Be sure to be ready for all the corny jokes too!
