Up until this class I had a 4.0 in my math area. He is a genuinly great human but he needs to retire. He tries hard, but even admits he hasn't taught the class in decades so he is a bit lost also. I have had to acquire a tutor to keep a C in this class. If he is in the math lab go to him, if he is teaching a class and you have never taken that course before avoid it.

I am a junior and I have had several teachers that were hard and would get confused but I have never had a teacher like him. When you go to class he will just start with something completely new without looking at last times homework and will never explain what he is doing on the board when he is working a problem. I was put in the hospitial with a medical excuse and was still not allowed to make a test up. I would not reccomend him if he was the last math teacher in the world. His test are retarded and never cover what he says they will cover. So heed all our advice adn never take him for math.

I know a lot about math and I had an extremely hard time in this class. He is disorganized and forgets what he is talking about half the time. He does not work with students nor does he explain anything that he is teaching. Quizzes are unannounced and over material we never covered, and tests are impossible. AVOID THIS CLASS.

He is an absolutely horrible teacer. I was only able to do good because i had a strong highschool cback ground in math. Hedoes noteach at all and you CAN NOT make up missed quizes or tests, unless you do it before hand, but they are all pop quizes. He has no idea what he is doing and alwaysworks the problems wrong. His tests are horrible, they have definations on them and stuff you have never seen before. Do NOT take him!

This course would have been easier if I had taken it under another professor. Its not from lack of effort, he will bend over backwards for you. But he sometimes has difficulty conveying concepts and ideas to the class. Also frequent mistakes were made while demostrating problems.

Mr. Jacobs is the hardest math teacher I have ever had. I just didn't listen to him anymore because he didn't make any sense at all. He teaches completely different from the book so he is again hard to follow. He counts off a lot on test or quizzes for little mistakes. We have a pop quiz constantly over material you aren't really sure of. He is very disoriented and confused sometimes. Even if you are in your seat he sometimes still counts you absent. I would avoid him at all costs.

I was warned not to take this guy. However, I didn't think he was all that bad. It was pretty hard work, but I did very well.

This guy is an idiot! He's unorganized and disoriented. He doesn't "teach," he expects you to read the algebra and figure it out for yourself. You have one POP quiz each week over unspecified material. He tells the class he doesn't allow graphing calcs., but then does lessons with them and expects us to know how to use them. I made all A's in my high school math, and I'm practically failing with this guy.
On tests and quizes, he'll put material you haven't seen or lie and say it's not going to be on there when it really is. EVERYONE in my class hates him! Aviod him at all costs!

Jacobs is a very knowledgeable man with a great desire to teach. He is nice and helpful, but seems a little disorganized. If you are looking for a challenge, this is a good class

I do not recommend taking Mr. Jacobs. He does not know his material and usually just rambles on leaving the class totally confused. He half works problems and then moves on to something else. Be there and be on time!!!!

I took this class several years ago, so my info is a bit dated now. He was not a very good teacher, sometimes we would be sitting there staring at him and he'd stare back at us. We'd jokingly whisper that we didnt' think he knew where he was. He'd make big mistakes working problems on the board which would result in mass confusion for everyone. All people make mistakes, but his were pretty regular. However, in his defense, if you had a question after class, he'd do everything he could to help you figure it all out.
