Overall I did learn a lot from this class, but Mr. Campbell's teaching methods did not work for me at all. This was his first semester teaching, for he was a reporter at the Tennessean for 30 years. I dreaded coming to class because of his negative attitude about each student's writing. He would sometimes read something a student wrote aloud as an example of bad writing. Expect A LOT of writing in this class, and he will want you to rewrite something he feels is not good enough. There is also a lot of reading, and you have a QUIZ EVERY CLASS over current events and the reading material. I have no idea how his grading method is, but he is willing to help you out usually.
