The class has very little work, but its almost impossible to get a decent grade. The guy grades papers exceedingly hard. Also, he knows practically nothing about journalism. I got to come in contact w/ a few other journalism teachers, who I liked. They seemed knowledgeable. But alas, Skipper forever ruined the field of journalism for me.He is a PR man for WKU and he needed another job to justify his huge contract. If you take Bob Skipper, don't let the name fool you. His name sounds friendly, but hes a bum

I like getting out of class early as much as everyone else, especially when its a spring day. But this class which met only once a week for three hours usually only actually lasted 30 to 45 minutes. I learned NOTHING from this. And had to take the class over. If you need to take this class get Paula Quinn's three week course. Its a great deal of work, but its only 3 weeks long and your learn a lot..

Dr. Skipper's class was my night class. It usually ended early and that was always nice. It was not neccesarily the most interesting thing I have ever been involved with, but it wasn't too hard. You do have a lot of homework to do, but you have a week or more to do it in. I reccommend you start on it early and not be like I did and finish it in class and tur it in afterwards. It was a good class. He is a nice teacher and answers his e-mails as well. I find that to be a good quality in teachers. It helps out a lot. You have to go to Monday afternoon lectures and write a paper, but those are not that bad.
