Mrs. Jaggers is a wonderful teacher and I enjoyed her class. She doesn't grade hard and works with each student individually. One of my fav orite teachers and if you try there is no reason you shouldnt get an A in the class.

Mrs. Jaggers gives handouts, lots and lots of handouts, and very good examples. She makes you put the handouts and notes in the folder she gives you at the start of the class. She wanted us to keep them to help with all kinds of writing. I couldn't believe it when I got an A on my history paper this semester! I am so bad at history! I used the 5 step process that we practiced in class.
She gives quizzes and extra credit (always writing though). If you go to an event or hear a speaker and write about it, you get extra credit. You will write in this class. All the time. But it really helps. I've always been embarassed by how little I know. I feel that I speak better because of her.
I had never used black board before, but she insists that you use it. You will post 2 times a week, writing about news or something that happened during the day. Those posts are a big deal and count for a lot of points on your grade. Don't forget to do them. At first she is easy on the posts. Then she starts grading grammar and punctuation and stuff. But it is writing, and she said that writing is what we are in this class to do.
I used to have trouble with verb tenses, and now I grab my folder and check as I write. It really helps.
She's not hard if you listen and do the homework. She will stay after class and everything. I called her at home even.
I really liked the board work. Besides the grammar stuff, it helped me to see how to come up with ideas to write about and support my ideas. That's why I made an A on my history paper.
