Don't get me wrong, this was my hardest class but it was worth having a hard teacher in order to do my best work. She is sweet but she can be stern if she needs to be. The work isn't really that hard, just very time consuming, especially if you wait until the last minute (which I don't recommend.) Try hard and ask for help if you need it and she will be there for you to.

Dr. Murley is wonderful to take! I would advise anyone to take her for any EDU course they can. I am a grad student and this is my first encounter with her teaching. There wasn't much work to do in the class. A lot of the course was reading to begin with and the 2 online chat sessions provided a lot of good feedback and quality of work. She gives you a schedule as to when each assignment is due so there are zero surprises. There are 3 quizzes, and two small projects for the course towards the end. Dr. Murley is fair with grades and discussion boards are not used to an overkill extent. Wonderful class.

I absolutely loved Dr. Murley! I took ELED 345 as a three week summer course. It was a very interesting course that Dr. Murley really enjoyed to teach. She does grade kind of hard, but she just wants her students to do their very best. I would definitely reccommend taking her!!

I really like Dr. Murley. She is really willing to help you if you are willing to work. She sets the bar high...but it's only for your own good. I feel MUCH better and much more prepared having had her in class. I recommend her.

Dr. Murley was very willing to accomodate. She understands the demands on graduate students & did not over burden you. I also had her for EDU 524, she was great in there as well. I would advise anyone to take her.

The difficulty of the course really depends on if Murley likes your lesson plans or not. She apparently hated mine, so it made it quite difficult for me. I was excited at first about having Murley, because I had remembered her teaching in my elementary school. I soon began to realize that it wasn't as great as I thought it would be. She expects you to dress professionally (meaning a suit) when you teach, but honestly, what elementary school teacher do you know wears a suit when they teach??? I think with some of the content in her course, she needs to practice what she preaches. She smiles a lot and seems really sweet at first, but she's not afraid to rip you a new one if she finds it appropriate. She is an option offered for student teaching, but I will not take her again if at all possible.

Very good class...her tests are over the material in the book which she goes over in class. Easy "A". She also makes the class very interesting.
