Transitioning from general writing to writing in a specific discipline is hard for most students. However, Ms. Copas is an understanding and patient professor. I have writing anxiety and she was wonderful with me. I highly recommend her class.

She didn't offer much help outside of class time. Horrible about answering you effectively in emails when she did answer them. If you like input from her---do not take her. You are on your own---Good luck!!!

OK, if you're looking for an easy A, Copas is definately the way to go. All you have to do is put in a little bit of effort, and this class in a peice of cake. My only issue with it was that, for a writing class, we didn't do whole lot of writing. We did maybe 5 or 6 essays total. Be prepaired to read a lot of essays (some are better than others) and review grammar. She doesn't grade papaers very harshly, and she drops your two lowest quiz grades. As long as you turn in something for your papers and do the rading assignments you'll be just fine. However, if you're looking for a class that will really prepair you for college writing, I would suggest checking out some of the other professors.

Ms. Copas is a wonderful teacher! She is very young and very polite. She offers extra credit which is wonderful! All you do is read some articles from your book and take a few test over them and write about 5 papers all semester. You have 7 quizes and she drops the lowest 2. You can rewrite papers and turn them in. She is great at explaining and class goes by quick. Take her if at all possible! The final is mandatory but is an editing quiz, not to difficult. If you don't miss any class or just 1 day she will add 2 points to your final grade!

Ms.Copas is a very nice lady she really enjoys talking about her mother and son and her life in general...she doesnt really assign any work all you have to do is basically write papers..(it's like high school portfolios) and if you do the papers you got an A there really isnt a final...all you have to do is make sure you've done the papers she assigned and you're good to go!!!
