Western Kentucky University / M / Jeffrey Marcus

Dr. Marcus is my favorite teacher. He knows that everyone will use old tests (which are helpful) but the h/w you can just copy from the solutions manual and Dr. Marcus doesnt care. The lab is GIVEN EASY points and you really dont have to study too hard for the tests. Go to class, and everything will be okay. He keeps the class entertained as well.

Dr. Marcus is a very intelligent man who can bring it down to the level of his students. I really enjoyed going to class and listening to his jokes. They were awesome. Just put in the effort in the exams and you will make an A, no problem.

Dr. Marcus knew a lot about biology and lets students write questions for the exams! All you have to do is read the book and figure out the answers on your own. The exam questions come straight from the questions students make up. Make sure that you really make an effort to do these questions to the best of your ability and you will be fine in this class!

Dr. Marcus is a terrible teacher. He talks during most of the class about pointless information that doesnt apply to the material. He reads word for word off of the powerpoint so there is no reason to go to class. I learned nothing in his class other than how to memorize study guides. He consistantly has error in his grading. I don't recommend him to anyone whos major requires you to understand the information required in Bio 120, because you will teach yourself or end up taking it again.

Dr. Marcus is a great teacher. Sometimes the classes are large due to a intro freshman class. He shows a great understanding of concepts. His notes can be found on blackboard. Also before each exam he lets students post an questions and if there is enough he uses the exact questions on the exam. If your looking for a moderate class with a great teacher go with Marcus

Dr. Marcus is a good guy, kinda weird but good. The tests are easy only if you get the study guide questions right, if you get the wrong answers on the study guide then you will not do good on the tests, and the answers are never given to you by Dr. Marcus. It was an ok class, but i studied a lot for the tests.

Dr. Marcus will lie to you about you grades just to get you not to ask about them and then at the end of the semester you are shocked about your final grade. He is always late to class and is never ready. He talks about things that do not deal with BIO and thoes are the things that wind up on the test. The test are made up of question that your classmates wriyte and submit to him but you never get the right answers too. You have to find the answers and then if your answers are wrong you just study the wrong answer and know one tells you different. He is not very coorporative. He is very funny and uses foul langue alot but that does not make the class any better. Take this class at your own descrition.

Dr. Marcus moves over material very quickly. He only gives you slides and there a few notes that go along with them. You have online assignments everyweek that are time consuming. He doesn't enjoy helping you. He only teaches so he can do research on his butterflies. His tests are hard!!! I studied at least 6 hrs for the tests and never got an A. I would not recommend him to anyone.

Dr. Marcus is a good teacher. His sense of humor made the class enjoyable and the labs were a lot of fun too.

Dr. Marcus is an excellent Lao Tsu. He's slightly clever and makes genetics as enjoyable as possible. He's the only genetics teach, so you dont have much of a choice...but he'd probably be the top choice anyway. Sometimes his voice cracks a bit.
