Dr. Davis knows her suff but doesn't know how to teach. Her notes are terrible because all she does is read them. It was almost like she just wants to get out of there

Dr. Davis is an excellent teacher that teaches a well layed out course. There are plenty of extra points to buffer your test scores and as long as you attend regularly you will get an occasional 5pts of extra credit. With that said if you can comprehend biology easily then there is no reason you should not make an A in this class, and if you have a little trouble with biology as long as you attend class regularly to get the extra credit and do your assignments (only 10 all sem) a C or B wont be out of the picture for you either.

Davis is a really nice lady and she helps you if you want to go to her office but the leactures are a little boring at the tests are very hard. She gives you 5 clicker points each class you attend so if you do not get good grades on your test you have a lot of other points to keep your grades up. She is hard but no other teacher I know would give 5 points for basically just coming to class

She is a good teacher. Her test aren't too bad and she gives extra credit!! The thing that got me was having a 4th exam and a Cumulative Final on the day of the final exam. I was one point away from an A and if it weren't for having those two exams I would have had an A.

This teacher is awesome! She's helpful and continues to go over topics until she is sure the students at least have the basic concept. The homework she assigns are online and the tests are very straight forward.

Mrs. Davis didn't teach my lab, she had her TA do it. He could not speak a word of english!!! She never showed up to one lab and if you emailed her she would not get back to you. The Mid-term and final are HARD and the labs are graded hard. I would not recommend her lab.

Dr. Davis loves to talk. She used some powerpoint but wrote a lot on the blackboard too. Her tests are fairly straight forward but there is a lot of information for each test. I'm not going to suggest that you dont take her, because she did prepare me well for the biology classes i am in now. However, if you are looking for a cake walk you may want to consider someone else!

Her class is not appropriate. Large, ineffective notes are to be taken in order to do well on her test. Or, so she says. This class was absolutely life-changing for me. I am no longer going to take any more biology courses. I owe this to my uninfluencial teacher, Dr. Davis.

Dr. Davis is a great teacher. This class is fairly easy as long as you attend. Her lecture slides are posted online, so even if you dont' attend class, if you follow along in the book and print out her lectures you will be okay. Her test are for the most part really easy depending on which chapters it is over. She doesn't go real deep into the chapters, understand the basics and you will pass with flying colors!

Dr. Davis is an excellent teacher!! She definately knows her immunology. Her tests are doable, and the term paper isn't bad either, as long as you get an early start on it. This class is very interesting and Dr. Davis does a great job explaining the material.

DR. DAVIS REALLY KNOWS HER IMMUNOLOGY AND THAT'S JUST IT SHE EXPECTS US TO KNOW IT THE SAME WAY. SHE TALKS ENTIRELY TO FAST THAT THERE IS NO WAY TO KEEP UP WITH WRITNG NOTES AND TO TOP IT ALL OFF YOU HAVE TO WRITE A TEN PAGE PAPER IN THE FORM OF A SCIENTIFIC JOURNAL. IF YOU DON'T NEED THIS CLASS DON'T TAKE IT.

Mrs.Davis is GREAT Micro teacher! I highly recommend her. She makes learning the material a little easier. A book is not really required b/c she lectures over the important things to know. However, there are bonus questions on each test that come from info boxes throughout the chapters in the book. She is a very nice woman, always willing to make time for a question.

Let's face it, Immunology is a very broad and very intricate and complex topic. There's not really a good way to introduce it, you just plunge in to the midst of it, and that's what Dr. Davis did. At first, I was overwhelmed by the sheer volume of information, but once you get the basics down, it really builds on itself and the pieces start fitting together (so even though there's not a cumulative final, it still relies on basic concepts you've learned the whole semester). Study hard, and Dr. Davis knows her stuff and is very nice, so utilize her if there are any troubles.

Dr. Davis is by far one of the best professors employed by Western Kentucky Universtiy. Although she provides alot of information i.e. gives alot on notes, all lectures are very well structured, and the information is presented clearly and in a logical order. Moreover, while she does give alot of notes, they provide all the information you will need to do well on her tests. For the most part reading the book is not necessary, though she does ask four or five bonus questions from the "microfocus" boxes in the book. Overall, this is not a difficult class (though it is a rewarding one, none the less). I highly recomend Dr. Davis if microbiology is required, or if you just need a science elective.

The tests are mainly multiple choice with very few (usually VERY simple) fill in the blank questions. Each test includes 4 extra credit questions from the micro focus boxes in the book. These boxes are the only thing you need to read out of the book for the class. The tests are based entirely on lecture material, so be sure to get someone else's notes if you miss. Also, be sure you catch EVERYTHING she says. The class was very interesting because it deals with human disease and treatment. Dr. Davis is a very nice person and wonderful teacher. I recommend taking Dr. Davis if you have the opportunity.

This professor seems to be a nice lady but gives out entirely too much information, it is impossible to learn it all. For the entire semester she only gives 3 tests which cover about 6/7 chapters it is almost impossible to make a good grade with so much to know, its like she thinks that is your only class.

every class is a lecture where you take gobs of notes. the test is strictly over the notes with bonus points coming out of certain sections of the book. it's difficult material. to pass, you just have to go to class and study the notes. she is a good teacher.

Dr. Davis is a very nice person and she really knows her Immunology. Her tests are next to impossible even if you study for 5 days straight. You never know what to expect on them anyway. You are required to write a research paper that must be a minimum of 10 typed pages. If you think that's all, you are wrong. You also have to keep up with lab quizzes and the reading. I found that the slightest mistake on my works cited page of my paper weighed more heavily on my grade for the paper than the actual substance of the paper. Careful on the paper and good luck. Oh, and you have to kill about 5 mice in lab, which I found ridiculous. I really liked the class and Immunology as a subject, but there was an element of discouragement because of my experience.
