This class was very interesting and very easy. I never took notes, just attended the lectures and I only read about half the assigned reading. I got 100's on all three exams, including the final. All you really have to do is pay attention and reveiw the lecture notes online the night before the exam and you're set. The tests are very easy and only about 30 multiple choice questions. You have to write three papers, but they aren't allowed to be more than a page--easy, fun topics, too. I would definitely recommended the course to anyone looking for a bum class to take off the load of some heavier classes.

McNeil is a good teacher, although the subject can be a bit boring, but he makes it fun. Sometimes his jokes can be a bit corny, but he's hot, so it's okay.

This was a very straightforward class. As long as you just read the assigned text... meaning just read it... no notes or anything in depth like that, and study the notes he gives during lectures, it's an easy one to take. Seemed like a decent enough fellow, and I'm pretty sure around 20% of all students received A's.

this class was ok. to be a 100 level class i felt that dr. mcneil expected alot from his students. although there are only 2 tests the entire semester, there are also 3 papers you have to do. alot of reading is required for this class, and to be successful in the class i would suggest doing it! no attendance policy made it hard for me to want to go to class, because all notes were available online. i probably would not take this course again.

Dr. McNeal is the most arrogant teachers I have ever had in my three years of college. I do believe he lives off of the girl’s giggling at his comments and idoic facial expressions. The class in a 100 level class, but you wouldn’t know it from the amount of reading/ tests/ grading criteria. We had to buy two books. During the second half of the semester, he expected us to read two chapters a night out of a book about Voodoo. That’s over 100 pages if you’re wondering. Apparently the university is solely devoted to McNeal’s ANTH. 120 class because you will not have time to do anything with your other classes. I think that we were his first class he ever taught because he was on a power trip the entire semester, he is high on himself. What happened to the normal anthropology teachers? This class is supposed to be a 100 level class!
