Dr. Ihator is a very poor lecturer. He has a very thick accent and talks off subject most of the time. In class he seems very nice and helpful, but if you go to his office to ask for help, he doesn't understand English very well and can be a prick. He will help you, but he also gives grades just because he feels like it. Not a great class.

Dr. Ihator assigns two research projects during the course of the semester, one being your final. The test are easy with multiple choice questions straight from the text book and essay questions that he stresses over and over the day of the review. He is somewhat hard to understand. He loves what he teaches, but i don't think he likes being a teacher. He complains about students not coming to class on Fridays. Dr. Ihator shows great excitedement and loves the word "beautiful." If you are aware of public relations in any instance, take Dr. Ihator, it is an easy "A.

Dr. Ihator's class is not all that impressive. He tends to expand on ideas that aren't central to the lecture--but, as redundant as he can be, it's a good idea to go to class because he gives notes in class that will help a lot on test essays. The course isn't difficult if a person studies class notes and reads each chapter carefully, and starts gathering information early for the two research proposals which are due mid-semester and at the end of the semester. Be aware: Dr. Ihator does not give his reasons for assigning a certain grade on the proposals, so take advantage of his willingness to help and give you ideas before turning in the paper. Attendance IS mandatory during presentations of the research proposals.

Dr. Ihator is one of the most polite and thoughtful teachers I have ever taken. The class itself was dry in nature, but how can you make PR fun? The accent is a bit thick and hard to understand, but if you make the effort it is worthwhile to take the course. Assignments are extensive in nature, but easily enough passed. I would recommend taking this class after a nap if you find journalism as boring as I do.

A very jolly professor and all around nice guy. Be prepared to take lots of notes, but as long as you study and devote the proper amount of time to the outside of class projects you'll be fine.
