Ms. Burks is crazy. I have never, in all my life, encountered a more insane, off-balance individual. She will be happy one moment and the next she will act as if she's going to throw something or someone out the window. I've had some crazy art teachers, but NEVER have I encountered someone so off balance and unpredictable as Ms. Burks. Avoid her at all costs. Her class feels like a very terrible rollercoaster ride that I am sure I will NEVER again ride. All in all I HATED going to this class every morning. It was the closest thing to torture I can possibly imagine.

And if you do dare to take her class be advised:

You will not need a book, she does not lecture at all, and all of your grades are based on in studio projects (a VERY large majority of which is your final project) that you will have to work on at FAC over the weekend in order to complete them on time.

Her critiques are not constructive and not at all helpful and if you don't have a background in the arts, you will have to ask someone who does for help because she will laugh at students who don't already know basic principles of drawing and reluctantly throw terms at them and sketch something for a few minutes, but that's about it.

Angela's class was a bumpy ride. She seems to have multiple personalities, and it is obvious with her grading. She tells you to adjust one thing to make it better, so I did it. Then in her grading summary she notes that she doesnt like the thing I adjusted. This gets very annoying! And kills your grade! DONT TAKE HER CLASS!
