Do NOT take David Owen. He tries to act nice and polite in class, but if you email him or come to visit him in his office, you will be greeted by his attitude problem. I had a problem with my grade in his class and sent him a polite email telling him why he calculated it incorrectly and then he sent me an email where he attacked my character and study habits! And not only that, it turned out that I was right and he was wrong, and the department chair had to force him to correct the grade! And his lectures make no sense, he does not have a clue about how to teach. He just stands up there and pretends to know what he is talking about, and is extremely unhelpful when you ask him questions. Avoid him at ALL costs.
