Mrs. Holland was a magnificent professor! Not only did she explain the material well, but kept her students involved by having them solve the problems with her; making sure no one was lost and taking reasonable time to explain to them. She is firm, no-nonsense, and expects her students to perform to the best of their ability. She teaches her passion and informs her students of ways to apply the mathematical equations to daily scenarios from counting change at a drive-thru window to making sure they do not get ripped off by a repairman. She gives tips for practicing mental arithmetic, but at the same time expects her students to show all of their work and prove they can do the steps she requires. Overall, Mrs. Holland is a very impressive, experienced teacher and I liked her from the first day.
