There is A LOT of writing in this class (at least the online version). For each week, you are given a topic to read out of the book and a question to which you have to respond. Thankfully, Ms. Bailey did not make responses mandatory to other class mates. However, there was still an abundance of work to be done. So long as you stay caught up or ahead, there should really be no issue though. You encounter three projects that need to be done which are five to seven page papers about certain topics. MAKE SURE AND BUY THE CHIEF JOSEPH CASE BOOK available at SLCC. It is MANDATORY FOR THE MIDTERM!!!! I can't stress that enough.
The course is mostly personal response and application to the world around you; your translation to what you read and how you feel it relates to the business world around you. THERE IS ALOT OF WRITING. Both the midterm and the final are BIG on points and are exceptional writing. The final paper is a thesis paper on a topic of your choice which was covered through out the course. TAKE YOUR TIME ON IT!
Ms. Bailey is about a week and a half behind on getting assignments graded but I believe this semester that was cause of a series of family events. No late work is accepted on BIG papers. Once they are past due that is it, unless prior arrangements have been made. On the small essay questions there is a three day grace period, so take advantage of that if you forget.
Overall though, I would take another course with her.
