I was unaware that Mrs. Knipp would be teaching this course. I wanted to take it with Pollock, and that was who was listed as the instructor. Pollock was "over" the class but Knipp teached it. We used Pollocks syllabus and supposedly she was "in charge" of all the major decisions for the course. I found Mrs. Knipp to be incompetent, vague, and overly critical on grading aspects that werent of relevance to the assignment. She also picked favorites who she would call on, and smile at and call shortened verions of their names like she was their buddy, while she was cold to most other people in the class. Likewise, if you were one of her "favorites" she wouldnt hestitate to help you out with any questions. If you were not one of the chosen few, you were doomed as far as finding out anything. I doubt this woman could have scored high on the tests she gave herself. She herself even said some of the questions of the tests SHE gave were confusing to HER...this is NOT what we want to hear from an instructor. I have heard from other students who took this class with Pollock, that it was an excellent course. I am highly disappointed that i was tricked into taking it with Knipp. There is no way this woman should be teaching at the college level.
