This professor is heavy on what she expects from the students as far as not being late (after 10 min. no entrance) and no electronic devices. She is strict in that sense, but she doesn't meet up to the standards I would expect a UM professor to have. She relies heavily on her notes, and one gets the feeling that she cannot think about the subject without them. One also gets the feeling that she doesn't want the students to think for themselves about the subject, but just wants them to parrot back her info, most of which she reads from notes. Her nerdiness/attempt at coolness is annoying—she also drums her fingers and snaps them alot, habits that one would not expect in a teacher. Any difference of opinion in the slightest seems to send this professor into a tailspin, as she tries to appear sure of herself but I suspect she has inferiority issues. She seems to be the female counterpart to Scott DeGegorio, the other mideval lit. prof. I am disappointed in this class bigtime.
