There are no tests, but there are four essays due and they are equivalent to tests. She is very sweet teacher, and almost overly willing to help her students. However, she is not always clear on what is due the next day, and explains so much that is often confusing. The St. Martins Guide is not neccesary for the class (we may have used it twice), but the Rules for Writers book was very handy. The course mostly consists of writing. The final is simply reevaluating your essays and writing responses, and handing them in.
