Bette Weneck runs her class like a small society. She stratifies it by putting her own on top: historians/jewish people. She is overtly nice to the minorities in the course and then gives a condescending nod to everyone else. Bette Weneck represents that liberal portion of academia that always proves itself to be just as racist as a member of the klu klux klan. The socratic method that she uses is a very easy way for her to be lazy. She rips apart anything she doesn't like without an argument. The funny thing about professors like Bette Weneck is that they really never do anything for humanity; they just there and talk about it. I don't recommend her as a professor to anyone, not unless you like getting pigeon holed.
