Public speaking of all other fears has to be the "one" that has caused so many tensions, and uncertainty, made or break student's performances in other classes or has made pismire ants out of giants. COMSTD 2 would not seem like a fair, resonable or sane approach to meeting the CSU required Speech Communication requirements. Professor Sarrio was one of my teachers from back in the day at Vineyard Junior High School when he taught social sciences. Knowing him for the awesome person he is I took his COMSTD 8 in the hopes of finding a refuge from the relentless demands, tearjerking, self-inflicted pain of those who wanted to beat themselves with a 2 x 4. Two speeches are all Ray expects of his students (one is a down-to-earth, biographical potrait) and the other is an expository argumentative or fact claim. Fears will be downplayed in a matter of weeks, but your fears are not dismissed. In this class there is no such thing as condemnation, or guilt, all you have to live up to is the demands that this course puts on you. Course would be considered a hybrid of sorts insofar as he requires students to take quizzes online and are graded at next class session. Highly Recomended.
