This prof really knows his stuff! He is such a funny person and as long as your not lazy and you show up for class and study then you will do fine. But this class is def. not for people that don't want to go to class. You have to go or you will either fail or get a bad grade because there are take home quizzes and even missing one day could throw you off track. You really learn a lot though so if your'e there to learn then take him. Oh, and don't be late or bring in food. Only closed drinks. And DON'T bring your kids to class, which come on people I agree a college class is no place for your kids.

STAY AWAY. Not Helpful at all!

Lee Emanuel is probably the best math teacher that I have ever had. If you come to class everyday and on time and pay attention, you cannot come out of this class with a failing grade. He has a review session before every test, which is extremely helpful. He truly cares about his students, and he's more than willing to help you if you don't understand the material. All you have to do is ask.

Truly a great class. There were great explainations of every bit of information, and even study groups before each test. Poor attendance and lack of interest in learning the material will ruin you in this class. For those that care to learn, any valid question will be taken seriously and the answer given completely with examples. Quite possibly the best math teacher I've ever had.

My class was somewhat skewed by the fact that there were many people in the class that had simply given up. They moaned and groaned, which was annoying and took up class time where the rest of us could have learned more and gotten a better grade. He laid down the law on the first day, which I respected very much. Goofing off and dumb comments will get you no where in this class. He is 99% buisness. Yes, there is 1% fun in the class, just don't get carried away. The book is all but useless if you take notes well and have taken algebra in highschool. In fact, I found the homework out of the book confused me and actually lowered my test scores. Being late or absent will pretty much gaurantee you'll be lost, having to either teach yourself the material or fail

Lee Emanuel is the worst professor I have ever had, he makes you feel stupid and doesn't take the time to explain like he should especially with a course as difficult as Math 116. I never missed a class period although when I attended class I left confused more and more. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND EMANUEL.
