Mr. McMahon is awesome! He was one of my first teachers since beginning my college career at the ripe old age of 40+. He has a dry sense of humor, is extremely intelligent, looks at all views, and has wonderful stories to share. He introduced me to Michael Moore's style of expose. I would and have highly recommended him to everyone. His tests are open notes and no textbook is needed. That in itself is a plus because tuition is high enough w/out the books.

You do not have to have a book for this class. You will take a lot of notes, but he emphasizes test material and does a very point blank review. You cannot claim you didn't know something was going to be on the test in this class. This class is not for the faint of heart or easily offended. Mr. McMahon has a very dry sense of humor which made an otherwise BORING subject intriguing and, at times, humorous! I recommend this class highly.

This is a very interesting class. There is no book required. The class consists of lectures, discussion, and films. Take good notes because you get to use them on exams. So, if you come to class and take a lot of notes, there is no way you can get less than an A in this class. If you miss a class, just get a copy of someone else's notes and you'll be fine.

I've seen few teachers as interested in thier students as he is. Every chance is given to you to make an excellent grade. Each topic is covered from each of 3 political views: conservative, moderate and liberal. The teacher confesses to being conservative, but there is absolutely no bias forced on the students. Lacking political correctness at times (which I feel is good thing). Everything is backed up with proper science and statistics. The class will broaden your horizons as to the state of society and it's issues
