Bowling Green Community College / D / Dero Downing

Mr. Downing is an awesome teacher. He will make sure you understand the material before moving on to the next subject. I would recommend anyone who has trouble in math to take Mr. Downing. I actually enjoyed math for once in my life.

If you need Math 055 take Downing! He takes math fairly slow and works problems out on the board. If you need extra help he will help you after or before class. He is very laidback but don't let that think you can take advantage of him! Once you cross the line he will let you know. He isn't strict on attendance but if you want a good grade you better attend all classes or you will get behind. The homework is very light. He gives you a take home review for all tests including the final. Very good teacher.

Alright guys, why I'm the first person to rate Dero is beyond me. First of all, I'm pathetic at math. I passed high school math by the skin of my teeth. Dero explains math in a way that everyone will understand. He also understands that math is not for everyone and it is a requirement to get through college. He teaches at a pace that everyone can keep up with. He also gives you half credit on everything you do, even if you are wrong so the worst grade you can get is a 50. Dero will never keep you the full class period either. He is a very nice caring man and I would recommend him to anyone that absolutely SUCKS at math. One more thing, if your a smoker go smoke with him on the break he gives you during class, he is really cool to talk to.
