Fundamentals is HARD. I went into it thinking it wouldn't be difficult, and I was very wrong. Mrs. Evans, Mrs. Bragg-Underwood, and Mrs. Satterfield co-teach this class. First off, be prepared. They all teach the same skills different ways. So I would verify with classmates who have a certain instructor if you are re-checking off how that teacher does things. Mrs. Evans is scary at first. I thought I was going to hate her with a passion. But she is a wonderful teacher and person. She wants you to succeed, but she wants you to do it the right way. I cried my way through my first check off, and she was pretty understanding. By the end of the semester I could go to her for any problem I had. Overall, this class will make you realize you were made to be a nurse, or you want to do something different.

Ok, so you want to be a nurse. It doesn't get any easier. Yes the tests are extremely difficult, but the license tests you take after graduation is difficult. This wonderful lady is only preparing you for the state boards. Since this is a nursing class, and human lives are literally in your hands, then the material and tests should be hard. I struggled in the beginning of this class, but pulled an F up to a B. No cramming for these tests the night before....you should be studying from the day you get the notes until test time. The final wasn't nearly as hard in my opinion, but I guess that's because this material is learned for life, not just a test. I appreciate the knowledge I received in this class.

this class is very difficult in my opinion but not bc of the notes but bc of the teachers. mrs. byrd and mrs. evans teach as a pair and the tests questions are tweaked and created in a way that seems as though you never reviewed that material. they will lecture and you will read from the book but you will then be tested often over things you couldnt have possibly known without them telling you. they ajust ask really off the wall questions on their tests. but it is do-able! most of us did it by the skin on our teeth though!!! good luck!

Mrs. Evans is a great instructor. There are a lot of notes, but you will find they are your study guide for tests. Everything listed in the course calendar is fair game, so READ you book as well! Mrs. Evans has a wicked sense of humor that you might misinterpret initially but will come to adore-very dry-listen carefully for hidden jovial comments in lecture-you will find yourself laughing while others just don't get it! A great class that makes you KNOW you are in nursing school!!!

Mrs. Evans is a pretty effwctive teacher, if you pay attention and do what she asks. However, if the class gets out of hand, she will stop class early, and will not go over the material in lecture; she will force you to learn it on your own. Her tests are somewhat difficult, although with adequate preparation, you can pass them with high grades. She has a sense of humor if you get to know her, and she is a helpful professor.
