this course was a very interesting poetry class for myself. i do not truly enjoy poetry, but mrs. mincey made the class interesting. her attitude was nice and laid back making the class more enjoyable. she introduced certain concepts and applied those to everything we did throughout the semester giving the student more exposure. the final was a summary of the course as well as an analysis of a piece we focused on at the end. the midterm was a group of essays which were not difficult if you keep up with the readings. overall, the class was a great learning experience. not only that, but i got exposed to a lot of new literature pieces that i never knew existed thanks to her wide variety of pieces. the inclusion of the lyrics was also a nice touch that made the class more enjoyable.
