Dr. Hale is probably one of the best professors I have taken a class with. Yes, this class is difficult. However, Dr. Hale is one of the most unintimidating professors I have ever had. This is why you should take his class. He likes to meet with you at the start of the semester, and he does this with all of his students. It's easy to ask him for help if you have the time. He assigns A LOT of reading, so make sure you have the time to do all of his readings. I have a part-time job, and I was still able to do all his of readings, but it was difficult to make the time. His class demands a lot of time (This is why I keep bringing up time). He is big on class participation too. He also has each student to do the minutes for at least one class, and yes, you do get a grade for it. There are two essays one is a major project. Then there is a comprehensive essay at the end, and it's not that bad. There's also these online 250 word essays, these are done once a week, but you only have to do ten. Yeah, it's a lot. His teaching is still worth it.
