Professor Book takes this class very seriously, and rightly so because your first assignment is the toughest, at least it was for me. He is an honest grader and I mean that in the kindest of words possible because he is brutally honest. He will tell you what is wrong with your writing and he doesn't hold back. You will like him one minute and then dread him in the next. Over all, he is a kind person, and is willing to help you with anything when asked for help. The easiest way to get a decent grade in his class: turn in every assignment. You get plenty of notice for assignments. The final for his class is a portfolio. I just wish his classes were a little longer because the poetry reviews took too long.
