Dr. Thompson is an awesome teacher. We used the Comm Theory App that he co-wrote instead of a textbook. There are three application papers which are cake, one big paper, and three exams (although we had snow days so we only had two tests). He also decided that if anyone had an A before the final test, you didn't have to take it which was awesome. I learned a lot in this class and he's super cool and is very good about answering questions either in person or by email. Highly recommend Dr. Thompson!
