Additional Comments |
Jim is a great guy. He really makes an effort to know all his students, and on a deeper level than just a traditional student/teacher relationship. The course (at least in the second semester) is spent covering lesser know resources that the university offers. There are a lot of class discussions in which participation is key to getting a decent grade. There were maybe three or four quizzes that took minimal preparation, and did carry that much in our overall grade. When I say essay questions on the exam, he's only looking for one or two sentences at the most. Since Jim has really helped develop the course, since it's existence here at Western, he really knows what is key and comes with high recommendation. If your birthday falls on one of the class days then the entire class is treated to cupcakes; so if a college student is always following their stomach why else would you look at another instructor for this course. *I haven't passed the course yet, but there is about as much a chance of me failing it as there is that the moon would crash into the Earth.
