There are no exams in this class, there are just 4 papers that you are required to write. She assigns you to groups the first few days of class, and you will do everything in this class with your group. There are little to no notes in this class, and missing class will not hurt your grade at all.The only day I would suggest going to class is when there is a draft workshop for papers because people in your group are very helpful in critiquing your papers. There are three presentations that you will do in the class, but two of these are very informal, and one you will do with your group. The only book that you are required to have is the pocket style manual and then a book choice of your own based on your major. Overall, this is a VERY easy class and easy to pass with her teaching it.
