Although I do agree that he is a very intelligent man and is able to teach this course, he can be very rude and make you feel bad about yourself. I would strongly agree taking another professor unless you liked to be called out in class, embarresed in front of others, or listen to him rant about how bad life sucks. Also, others might say he likes to help you out, that is only the case if he likes you.
