Additional Comments
Mr. A is a cool professor who really cares about your grade in his class. He lectures almost every day, but you don't have to take notes. He's the advisor of the College Heights Herald, so he knows what he's talking about. His lectures are pretty boring but you can easily get him off talking about something totally unrelated with little or no effort. The guest speakers at the beginning of the semester really suck, but it's best just to go ahead and finish them so it doesn't hurt your grade. There's like 8 and you have to do 6. Also, he repeats a lot of the same material on different tests, especially newspaper terms and the stylebook. His little quizzes are usually tossed out at random and cover current events, but are only worth about 10 points each. The final project at the end of the year is a killer to be sure, but he is very flexible on the due dates. Just email him and explain that you want to turn it in later and he always understands. He's just old and nice and is easily swayed. This class is a nice building block for those who wish to write for the Herald and a good way to get in good with the advisor. RECOMMEND!
