Additional Comments |
Dr. Algeo's lectures were powerpoint-based, and she made an effort to help all students understand the material. There are two tests, normalized to a bell curve, which took much longer than the class period. Most classes were dismissed more than ten minutes late. The homework load is extreme, many times with more assignments to turn in than class periods over the course of a week. The final week of class, 6 assignments were to be turned in (3 online quizzes, 1 lab, 1 in-class assignment, and 1 poster). Few assignments were given adequate time to finish, and most students spent an average of 10 hours per week on homework for the course.
