Additional Comments |
Analytical chemistry at WKU is probably the weed out class. It will make or break you. There are so many people who have had "A's" or "B's" in their chemistry classes (and had easy, joke professors)--and once they get to Dr. Dahl, the world caves in on them because they've never really had to work for a grade. Analytical chemistry with Dr. Dahl will teach you to think like a chemist, and you have to or you will fail the lab portion, and it will kick your butt. If you've had Dahl or Pesterfield before, and have done well, you will be fine. If you've had Conte, Snyder, Webb...prepare to work.
Dr. Dahl is a professor who is so willing to help, but it is up to the students to go to office hours and class to do well. He is the nicest man in the world and knows the ins and outs of the class. His lectures can be a little disorienting, but the "answer" is not so important as the concept.
Final note: If you miss class multiple times, don't bother trying to make an A or a B.
