I have always had a tough time with English. I know from experience that Freshman English is no fun (I have taken it a few times) This is the first teacher that I have been able to tolerate and also the first not to make you read ten poems and write about what they mean. He is an excellent teacher and may tend to ramble on about stuff. If you take him, make sure you don't have anywhere to go after class (you will be late) he will talk about anything and everything. He is also very cool on the grading scale and hates to see any of his students do poorly (i.e. fail) Have Fun.

In my class, we only wrote 2 actual papers, and did some additional writing work in class. But if you get a bad grade on one paper, it's pretty much over. If you did good in English in high school, you should be fine. If you went to a Catholic high school and got an ok grade, you'll really be fine in this class.
