Additional Comments |
Dr. Anderson is an interesting old man. I guess that's how I would state it. He assuredly has his quirks and unusual ideas (depending on your mind-set), but he puts together an enjoyable class in which he really caters to the students. He truly cares whether or not you like it because he changes the format from semester to semester to ensure this fact. You have to write a lot of short papers, but they're easy as long as you follow the given format. No serious drawbacks; if you are a fundamental Christian (or fundamentalist of any religion) he will try to get you to loosen up and consider thoughts from other religions. I am a Christian and I enjoyed the class; others seemed to be offended by his approach. However, a couple of these people didn't even try to open their minds to academic matters. Dr. Anderson never forced ideologies upon people, he simply tried to get people to think outside their normal thought patterns. Enjoyable class, lots of reading. Pretty easy if you do the papers and readings.
