Additional Comments |
Professor Walker is an obvious bright and qualified teacher, however she's been out of the classroom for too long and needs a brush up course on how to teach a class. Pages of notes were taken on material that never showed up on quizes or exams. Very little time and few to no examples were given on the difficult material. For example, 1 page of notes (about 10 minutes of instruction from Prof. Walker) was given on how to do nomenclature, and on the test, 80% of it was all nomenclature. Sometimes questions would appear on tests and quizes that weren't even covered in class and when she was approached about it, nothing was done. Practice exams would be posted on her website for students to review prior to a test, but they usually posted only a day or 2 prior to the test - which gave no time to properly review. On one occasion, the key wasn't posted until a few hours prior to the test! "That's what the tutors are for", so she's said. If you want to pass this class with a decent grade, study EVERYTHING!!!!
