It starts out easy and you think, okay I can do this no problem. Then the first test hits and you're like, when did we cover that? You are constantly trying to figure out exactly what she is talking about on the tests. She loves trick questions, even the TA's know this, tell you this, but won't tell you exactly how she tricks you. There is always the "IF" factor on the questions where she's too vague in the question and you're almost forced to ask on half the questions. Her notes are also very confusing. Lectures are note taking sessions with paragraph long sentences. (Her favorite word is which, usually proceeded by a comma to make the sentence keep going.) If you type up the notes, its at a Flsch-Kincaid Grade level of 10.6 - 14.3 and a passive sentace rate of 1% (according to Microsoft Word 2007) So basically, its a giant mumble of words of her trying to sound smarter than you. She is also the only teacher I've ever had that has class notes you take in class, and doesn't put them online or make them accessable if you miss a day. So what if you're sick? you'd better know someone with good hand writing. I had 4 midterms (!!!!!!), including one the Monday before finals week. Thats most of it. There's not one thing I enjoyed about her class. None of this is written out of vain or frustration, it is the truth. On one more note, I had friends at UNI that had her for Landscape Design.... wow, good credencials, not.
