Additional Comments
I want to know why the Dean of Students and the President of FRCC at the Larimer campus has not done any thing about the exstreamly high failure and drop out rate in the math department. I do not like the idea that there are standardized test for that level of math like 060,090,099, and so on and why the test are written with very large numbers that you can not use a calcuiator to solve these problems that you have to solve them in you head. I do unstand that math is challenging so why are these test made harder than they should be. Most math departments in other schools want to see if you can solve the equation not make the test so hard and long that you have differecultly doing the exam. I am not a lone when I say I am not the only student at FRCC that feels this way! I feel as if I am being perpossily and deliberately being set up for failure. When you ask Iven Loy why he tells you that we are competing with CSU and he also tells you that is how we make our money when a student has to take a math class more than once. I guess that they are not afraide of losing there funding for student grants.
