I think that this course was really easy. He uses all of the assignments to build to the last one... the final... which is a ten page paper. He doesn't allow you to turn in homework without a late penalty even with excused absenses, but he'll let you turn them in any time for half credit. Basically if you come to the class and do the reports, it will be smooth sailing.
