I have always had a problem learning math. I have had such a problem that I actually dropped out of high school because I was (or felt I was) unable to pass a math class. I went on to obtain my GED and attended a 4 year university. I actually managed to graduate without ever taking a math course (that is another story). Now a decade later I wish to change careers and taking a math class was simply unavoidable. Fortunately I ended up by chance in Mr. Najjars class. After a life long failure at understanding math, I wasnt sure what would happen. Mr. Najjar is the first and only person who has ever been able to help me understand math (my father holds a Phd. in stat. and wasnt able to help me) Mr. Najjar has an ability that few posess. He knows how to teach and knows how to reach the student. I noticed a few students who were unhappy about the fact that Mr. Najjar requires you to attend and to be on time and have your reading done. I find this to be a silly excuse to dislike a particular instructor. Mr. Najjar is on claiber with the best instructors I had at K.U. as well as K.S.U. and understands how important it is that students learn the subject rather than just get passed through the system.Penn Valley is lucky to have an instructor of this cliber. Again, to finally be able to understand math after never having been able to even get the basics is the sign of a verry good instructor. In all the math classes I have attempted the only thing that has changed is the person teaching the class. Mr, Najjar knows what he is doing.
