Tenure gone wrong: he is clearly no longer in possession of all of his faculties (pardon the pun), but cannot be let go. Knows a great deal about reference sources. Unfortunately, much of it is grossly out-of-date. Spends more time telling random irrelevant anecdotes and presenting spurious statistics than actually teaching the sources. Insulting to foreign students; occasionally borders on harassment with female students. Has absolutely no control over his classes. In a different sources class, essentially had his students research his latest book, uncredited.
