Additional Comments
Alida Westman has a crummy personality and a hands off approach to teaching. A lack of initiative and a poor attitude are her biggest problems. She does not care about students and avoids helping them whenever possible. She is one of several reasons why the Psychology Department at Eastern Michigan University is such a negative, cold, and hostile place. Students who visit her during office hours or speak to her before or after class generally receive an affront. She mostly avoids eye contact when speaking to students and uses brief answers that minimize conversation. She is almost always late for class.

Alida Westman delivers a good lecture on the day she asks students to complete their professor evaluations, which shows she has talent, but is exempt from using it on account of being a tenured professor who does not have to teach. Mostly, her lectures are terrible and frequently you cannot understand what she is talking about. Asking questions during lecture only causes her to repeat what could not be understood the first time around. She also engages in politicking in class, leading many to wonder why she has so much enthusiasm for promoting her political views but so little enthusiasm for teaching.
