Additional Comments |
Kiasatpour is the man. He is extremely passionate about his subject matter and loves to have discussions with students. At first, he seems really tough, but once the weak people leave the class, it's great. There is a research paper involved, but it's not that bad. His exams and quizzes can be a little tough, but you're good if you carefully review all the material. ALWAYS DO THE ASSIGNED READING! Make sure you have read the textbook chapter, NY Times & BBC articles, and anything else he gives you. He does a great job of teaching students the processes of critical thinking and not just a bunch of definitions. He has very high expectations and may sometime go a little over, but it's well worth it. He offers extra credit opportunities through writing about various functions on campus (like the Genocide lecture last spring). Great Professor!
