Additional Comments |
This is a difficult course. It is helpful to have some background in chemistry already. Attendance is required or he will drop you from the class, but you would be stupid not to go. If you miss more than 2 or 3 classes it is hard to catch up. He gives homework assignments but only collects them at test time, so you have plenty of time to do them. Do not wait until the last minute to do them. You will end up having questions, and get stuck. Ask questions as you are going along, or you won't understand later. Dr. Burris has an open-door policy, and is very willing to help. He explains things in a manner that is on your level, and uses visual examples a lot. I would take him again for other classes if he is offered.
