Additional Comments |
Dr. Bueker Rocks! He'll make this class fun for you. He's old-school and retired military (2 quality attributes). I think he's about 150 years old or something and he still has the patience to help out young college kids who sometimes don't want to be at class. He helps you out when you ask questions. He pretty much expects someone to be asking a few questions about the homework every morning at the beginning of class. Too bad the class moves so fast. By the time you learn something, you're moving on to new material. Dr. B is a great math professor. He's not easy though. YOU MUST DO THE HOMEWORK (which he never collects) otherwise you'll be lost. Go to the math lab immediately once you start having trouble. And tell Dr. B about your troubles. You have to earn your grade but he wants you to pass. I've heard other math instructors are just as hard and their classes move just as fast. Don't let yourself get behind in this class or you'll do poorly. Dr. B explains the material with excellence and he will challenge you in class to assist with the solving of problems. I would raise my hand every day and ask for help and he helped. Math is a required subject so if you place into Math 096/100 (same thing), Dr. B will certainly help you. There might be easier instructors, but the math is still the same. You either know it or you don't. Dr. B is fun with some of his teaching skills. He uses a funny term , which you'll learn, during factoring (chunk-chunk). And then there's always the cannon. LOL I tought this class was tough but not out of the ordinary. Remember, get additional help (if you need it) during his office hours or just go to the math lab (1st floor).
